1:1 Threshold Coaching

Woman sitting on a chair holding a book titled 'You Are a Badass'.

You didn't get here by accident.

The woman who holds everything together, steps in before being asked, smooths the edges, absorbs the weight — she didn't appear out of nowhere.

She was shaped, over decades, by a culture that taught women early and clearly: to be useful is to be valued. To be needed is to be safe. To take up space, you must first earn it.

That conditioning wasn't personal, but it was so persistent that it stopped feeling like a choice and started feeling like who you are.

But there's a moment — often at midlife — when life finally slows down enough to let you hear yourself think. That's when the cost of all that performing becomes impossible to ignore.

The achievements were real. The emptiness is also real.

What Becomes Possible

Women who do this work describe something that's harder to name than a list of outcomes — a quality of coming back to themselves after a long absence.

Decisions that used to feel charged and exhausting begin to feel clearer. The compulsive need to earn approval, manage others' perceptions, and override your own signals starts to loosen its grip. Because you've finally seen the architecture beneath the pattern — and recognized it was never truly yours to carry.

What emerges in its place is something quieter and far more durable. A way of leading and living that comes from the inside out. Choices that reflect who you actually are now, not who you learned to be. A relationship with yourself that doesn't require constant performance to maintain.

A spiral pattern made of rocks on soil with small plants growing around.

How We Work Together

Each session begins by getting you out of your head and back into yourself. Most high-achieving women come to a coaching session the same way they arrive everywhere — prepared, composed, and slightly braced. Before we examine anything, we slow down enough to hear what's actually present beneath all of that.

From there, we follow what's alive. We look at the patterns that have been quietly running your choices — where they came from, what they were built to protect, and whether they still serve who you're becoming. We surface the stories beneath the strategies. And we begin, honestly and intentionally, to build something new in their place.

This isn't a linear process, and there's no fixed curriculum. The work follows you — your timing, your edges, your emerging identity. What stays consistent is the quality of the container: honest, rigorous, and entirely on your side.

This Work is for you if...

You've built a life that looks like success from the outside — and you're tired of being the only one who knows how much it's costing you.

You're somewhere in the middle of a shift you can feel but can't quite name. A role is ending, or a chapter is closing, or something that used to drive you simply no longer does. You're not in crisis — but you're done pretending everything is fine.

You're ready to stop asking what's wrong with you and start understanding what happened to you — and what becomes possible when you rewrite the script you've been living.

You want change that lasts. Not a new set of strategies to perform, but a genuinely different relationship with yourself and your life.

Who You're Working With

I spent two decades in higher education and healthcare leadership doing exactly what I'm describing: performing, producing, and proving my worth in rooms I'd worked hard to earn my place in. I was capable, respected, and successful. I was also running on an invisible operating system I'd never chosen and never examined.

When I finally crossed my own threshold — by understanding what had been shaping me — everything changed.

That's the support I now offer other women. My expertise includes formal training in women-centered transformational coaching, over 25 years of strategic communications, and the lived experience of someone who has been exactly where you are.

If this feels like the right next step, trust that.

Let’s begin with a simple conversation and see whether 1:1 coaching feels like a good fit.
