Wild Wisdom Walks are my invitation to you to slow down, listen, and remember what it feels like to be rooted in nature.
Although we will identify a few common edibles and medicinals during our walks, this is not a foraging class. It’s a chance to immerse yourself in your surroundings, notice what speaks to you, and reconnect with your wild Self.
We’ll begin with a simple opening circle, acknowledging the land and setting an intention for our time together. Then, we’ll set off on a slow, mindful walk. Some moments will be quiet, inviting you to tune in to the scents, textures, and shifting energies around you. Other times, I’ll point out plant and mushroom friends, sharing insights about what’s growing and thriving in the season.
We honor all local laws and ethical foraging principles—which means while we’ll identify some helpful plants, gathering may not be permitted in every location. Our focus will be on deepening awareness and relationship with the land, learning to see it with fresh eyes and an open heart.
No two walks will be the same. Spring brings tender new growth, summer hums with wild abundance, and autumn reminds us what it means to let go. There’s always some new magic to discover!
Each walk will close with simple reflections and group sharing, creating space to integrate what we’ve experienced before stepping back into the world—more rooted, present, and energized.
Rather than seeking, we’ll allow nature to reveal itself. You’re encouraged to move at your own pace—pausing where curiosity calls as your senses guide you.

Wild Wisdom Walks take place on the first Wednesday of each month from April through October at 6 PM. Locations vary and will be announced in advance—expect beautiful natural spaces where we can connect with the land and seasonal wisdom.
Our first walk will be held at Dwyer Memorial Park in Preble, NY. Future locations are TBD, but all walks will take place between Ithaca and Syracuse.
Each walk is a blend of nature connection, plant wisdom, and embodiment practices. Our time together includes:
Embodiment practices will include opportunities for barefoot grounding, invitations to engage with the environment, and simple breathwork.
Experiencing the elements is part of the fun! Walks will be held rain or shine, unless there is severe weather (thunderstorms, high winds, etc.). If a cancellation is necessary, registered participants will be notified as early as possible.
Not at all! Wild Wisdom Walks are for beginners and seasoned nature lovers alike. You’ll learn how to identify plants responsibly while honoring ethical foraging principles.
Accessibility varies by location. Some walks will be on even terrain, while others may include hills, mud, or uneven ground. If you have mobility concerns, please reach out before registering.
For now, these walks are designed for adults to fully immerse themselves in the experience. Please leave pets at home, as they may disturb the plants and wildlife.
It depends on the location, but bathroom access is not guaranteed. Due to recent budget cuts in public spaces, some locations may have restrooms, while others will not. Plan accordingly.
